    TAFCA AGM Thursday 17th May, 7.30 Castlehill Club

  • 06/04/12With the season almost complete (one match is outstanding from Division Two but won't affect placings) congratulations go to:
    Division One champions - Castlehill A Commiserations to Dundee & Victoria C and Glenrothes B who can’t avoid relegation.
    Division Two champions - Castlehill D
    Knockout winners - Castlehill A
    Dundee & Victoria C and Glenrothes B are relegated to Division Two
    The winner of the Most improved Junior won't be certain until the outstanding match has been played.

    The TAFCA Committee will meet on 16th April to review the season and determine the agenda for the AGM. Please send any proposals to Gen Sec Jean Chalmers before the 16th April please so that they can be reviewed by the Committee.

    Tayside and Fife children played excellently at the recent GrangemouthCongress. Declan Shafi, currently graded at 1000 had a great score of 3 in the Minor, we also had a 2nd place for Leonardo Sami (Strathkinness and Ninewells) in the Saturday Junior event (5/7), also in the Saturday U-700 we had 2nd place for Euan Dawson, (Lawhead St Andrews) (5.5/7), 3rd place for Jack Turner (Greyfriars, St Andrews) (5/7), 4th place for Tom Constance (Lawhead, St Andrews) (4/7) plus good performances by Rory Fraser and Rowan Currie (Lawhead St Andrews) (3/7). Declan’s performance for the tournament was a remarkable 1378, Leonardo reached 823, Euan 722 and Tom 510 – well done all.

    Lawhead Primary School, St Andrews, won the Primary 5 and Under Scottish Primary Team Championship at the Braehead Arena, Glasgow. The team of four consisted of Euan Dawson, Rory Fraser, Tom Constance and Rowan Currie.
